Nice place. Motto "Home away home". 24x7 water service. Specially round the clock purified water service makes lifestyle easy and hygienic. Geyser is also available for 24x7. There are two lifts for 6 storey building. Students capacity is around 270. It is fully non alcoholic, non smoking anti ragging campus. Food served thrice a day. Food quality is just ok. There is a fully equipped game room containing table tennis, carrom and chess. Football, cricket and basketball are also available. TV and magazine service is also available. Having a secure and beautiful terrace with a large washing system. One disappointing factor is no free wifi. Also, hostilities do recieve sweetcross as a punishment if he breaks the rule. In a single word, ideal place for studying just after the home. N.B : Foods ,given, need to be improved a lot.

This hostel is Basically HELL for a vegetarian.......... The food they provide to a vegetarian isn't up to the mark and idk how do they call it hygienic food......... Strict rules that must be followed. Water and electricity 24/7

Folks , buy a tent from Decathlon , yes the one you use for camping. Its an one time investment , I assure you its still better than this place. These people are under the impression that the hostel is Hogwarts and weird creatures are waiting to devour you if you stay out past bedtime. Its North Korea but with 6-7 different Kim Jongs present. The food? Its voldemort. The one who must not be named. If you think about it , let alone talk about it , the universe will punish you with food poisioning in 3 days time. Hogwarts is a fictional place. Do some research stay at better places at half the cost and double the benefits. Dont waste your time and money here.

Extremely wonderful crowd... You'll get the best folks around... No "Ragging" as such... Only the food needs to improve... but... apart from the food... everything in the hostel is worth it and after you leave, you'll want to come back again and again to relive the fond memories that you created here... The hostel is "too disciplined"... So for parents worrying about their wards' safety and security, be assured your child cannot move an inch on his own unless he's allowed to by the authorities.. Edit 1: There has been a somewhat improvement in the quality of food. How persistent that will be however is left to the test of time...

Bad food. Authorities are control freaks. Rules are meant to appease them and not for the betterment of students. Lived here for about 2 years, my first two college years. I am glad I left. I am residing just beside at a much cheaper price and 100 times better food. I initially thought since the hostel is affiliated with Xavier's college the food will be good but no. Restrictions would make you laugh since I had projects where I would need to spend time outside, and boy do they not like their students outside of the hostel. It's worse for girls. I studied Multimedia so had to watch a lot of films and the authorities called me out for watching and not studying! 100 students had submitted a letter each together for making the food better, but they wanted to punish the 100 students instead.

Currently living here and I've to say I'm enjoying here. One thing I like the most here is the diversity of people from across the country and world as we get to know different cultures it expands our knowledge. There are a lot of activities to do and so many programmes. And it has the ideal environment for studying. The seniors are very friendly and no kind of abuse or ragging is existent.

The discipline, security, cleanliness, educational environment, games facility all of these things are way better than any other hostel in Kolkata. The hostel celebrates Cofradia or Hostel Day which not only gives a platform for students to perform, but also increases unity and brotherhood and sisterhood among everyone.Now the main concern for most people is food. So coming to this, food served here is not the tasty food that you get in restaurants, not as delicious like your mothers, but the menu contains a list of healthy nutritious food starting from breakfast to dinner. It has got variety of dishes served in different days of the week. And on special occasions, special dishes are also prepared for the students.People who prefer non veg will be happy to know that non veg is provided six days a week. So as far as I have researched, food which is provided is also far better than most of the hostels in Kolkata, probably the best!

Its super cool. Lifts facility is available, hygienic foods are provided, cold water is also available for drinking, geysers are provided in the bathrooms, environment is clean. It really feels sooo good. (BCom Hons. 2016-2019 batch)
