One of the best schools in kannur district. This institution is part of kannurs history. Excellent infrastructure.. Nice ambience... Great teachers... Good management. Alumni and PTA is very active. As an ex-student of this institution, i am proud of it.

Oral tradition tells of St Michael's roots in a Malayalam-medium school attached to Holy Trinity Church, Kannur in the late 1850s. The Christian Brothers came in 1862, introduced English, and erected a new building in 1865, from which its present history is now traced. When these Brothers departed in 1887 the Jesuit priests who ran the parish took over the school. In 1907 the Jesuits made it a European-style middle school, and in 1936 a high school under the Anglo-Indian code. In 1974, for need of financial assistance, the school came under the Kerala Education Rules, as an Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School. St. Michael's has been ranked among the best schools in India.

Since 1865 st michaels is one of the best school in kannur .it is completely a boys school from 1st standard to 12th . It is best in teaching , in infrastructure , the management , sports and all other main and extra curricular activities

As a student of St. Michael's for more than a decade I can assure that the quality of this School is better than the most in Kannur. I realised that once we were out of the school and went into colleges. For most Michaelites seminars, public speaking etc. are not a big concern and can do it well. The infrastructure is also great. I think a major part of the success of the School goes to many former principals like Father Philip who was sincere and honest in his duties and brought the school to great heights.

LKG ukg donation is very high.they are giving about 600 admission form ,each form they will charge Rs.100/-.total 60000:-they are earning via admission form.but they are taking 120 students only via interview.they are not giving chance for 480 students to meet interview.they won't give a call or never send interview card for us .very dramatic.and if we want admission we need to pay extra charge to church or committee. Govt is approved such a school.very bad .I give D grade to this school.

Me myself being a student of this educational institution can't describe the colourful school life which i had those days in my school.... Can't forget those sweet memories with my schoolmates...this school is a part of kannur's history...started in 1875 it has a legacy of 150 plus years...it was founded by the jesuit society in india....earlier it had European syllabus but later it was changed into kerala state syllabus according to the collective decison made by the PTA and management....i have studied in this school for past 14years from primary to plus two and this school is a part of my soul...this is the finest school in kannur district to send your children...the teachers here will mold your children perfectly and it will help your children to come out in flying colours....always proud to be a michaelite
