St. Mary's Forane Church also known as Muttathu Palli, A 16th Century church which was built as a chapel in 1583 AD and expanded in 1709 AD and in 1832 AD was declared as an independent parish. The present Church is constructed around AD 1600 in Portuguese Style of architecture. St. Mary's Forane Church, Muttom, is situated in the heart of the Cherthala town in Alappuzha District. This church is located in a good atmosphere and has a large parking area. The church is well maintained and very calm ambience. It is a very beautiful and spacious church, both from inside and outside and it provides a fresh, calm and positive climate. *Mass Timings: Sunday : 6 AM, 7.45 AM, 9.30 AM, 4.30 PM Saturday : 6 AM, 7 AM, 5 PM (Followed by Novena to Our Lady of Immaculate) Weekdays : 6 AM, 7 AM ( On First Fridays of every month there will be an additional mass at 5 PM)

A very spacious place. You'll get a good vibe when you're around this place. Well cleaned and maintained infrastructure. A very nice atmosphere. Beautiful buildings.You should definitely give a visit if you are obsessed with churches and so.

It's in the center of the city called Cherthala but the exact location is called Mutton technically speaking this is not far from Cherthala town in the district of Alleppy. First of all there is a peaceful atmosphere you feel once you enter the compound . Don't worry to come with your car, there is sufficient parking on weekdays in the courtyard itself ,must be hard to find any parking on Sundays because holy Mass on Sundays are usually crowded. The church is well maintained and clean you have enough bunches and chairs inorder to comfortably talk to God . I believe if anyone come with faith will not be disappointed because mother Mary is always there to bring you blessings through Jesus Christ . Anybody free to visit this holy church regardless of their religion ,cast, colour, or gender nothing forbids you to enter this church .

I had visited the church during its 1000 year celebration. It is so beautiful and majestic.
