St.George's Hospital - Hospital in Vazhakulam - Ernakulam, India

Today I went to Vazhakkulam St. George's Hospital with my son. He accidentally had some food item in his nose and started uncontrollably. In that frantic situation, I forgot to put his diaper on. I ran to the hospital with my crying son and once the doctor came for a check-up my son peed. The pediatrician doctor got angry with him for not wearing a diaper and we were sent out without a proper check-up. The doctor just checked his nose with a touch and sent us to the ENT session without proper disclosure. The doctor also cancelled the appointment we took so consulting the other doctor was a hassle for us. Never faced such a bad experience. Just because a little bit peed, we left without proper consultation.

A town hospital with basic amenities like X Ray, Lab etc.., famous for snake poison treatment, pain and palliative care. Dr.Sony Jaimes, Pediatrics Dr.Sanil Jospeh ENT Dr. Francis Mathew, Physician and diabetologist Dr. M M Raman Orthopaedic surgeon

Had multiple bad experiences here. A recent incident being, my mom went with severe body pain to this hospital and they just took a Voveran injection without even doing preliminary examination. Later she was diagnosed with Herpes Zoster from a different hospital and is still under Treatment after 30 days. Please stay away from these people and do not waste your time and hard earned money here.

Good pediatrics

I suffered a puncture wound in my foot from a sharp wood stump.I visited vazhakulam hospital for treatment.Few days after treatment minor infections showed up around the wound like redness,soreness,intense pain,drainage,swelling ,warmth and fever.I was so weak,unable to attend my works for atleast 2 weeks and the symptoms were getting worse.The treatment included local Anesthetic to cut wide open the wound, and xray. Nothing helped.The treatment provided here is of very low quality. I had to visit a different hospital and they found remains of wood stump penetrated inside the foot.which they removed .

I had visited this hospital two days ago while at Vazhakulam and I could understand that there are facilities in this hospital for affording basic treatments.There are departments like Medicine, ENT, Paediatrics, Orthopedics etc. Lab facilities and X- rays are also there and preliminary medical treatments can be provided here.Patients requiring more specialised treatments need to be referred to higher Centres.

Very nice place, good treatment and good doctors. Very friendly.

It's a hospital having moderate fare and facilities. ... It is an easily accessible health care center, situated at the middle of the town, Vazhakulam.
