St. Francis Xavier's Church - Catholic church in Mapusa - North Goa, India

I visited this church for the first time today and what struck me most was the simplicity and fervour with which the mass was attended by the children and parishioners, led by the priest who celebrated the holy mass at 09.00am. Saint Francis Xavier Church was apparently a Chapel before and then became a parish for the 2000+ parishioners in 2014. The premise also has a school, St. Anthony's High School. It's not only a serene and holy place of worship, but also so picturesque. God bless all the priests and the parishioners!

This church is one among my bucket list from childhood. Finally i got to see this grandeur, with amazing sculptures, stones, tiles etc.. and especially St. Francis Xavier's memoir inside the church. The photographs involving persons inside the church is banned. Its highly restricted to take selfies and person's photograph. The staffs are very helpful in all manners. Very sweet and polite. Also Guides are available to check throughout the church. Offcourse they want to be paid. Lovely place to visit. Serene, came and tranquility moves the place. If u visit Goa u ought to visit St. Francis Xavier church. This place is love.

My experience is from the exterior only. The church looks beautiful and very well maintained. Sufficient parking available around the church. Stay safe and ride safe. Wear helmets

This is a very historical Church which is really well-maintained. I highly suggest anybody to visit this church on a trip to Goa. It is a really good tourist attraction.

St. Francis Xavier's Church is a beautiful church located at Duler, Mapusa - Goa, peaceful place to spend an evening praying and meditating. A church with amazing parishioners. The youth of this church are very active, they have a canteen every 3rd Sunday of the month, they organize many activities such as football tournament for the youth of Goa, activities during Christmas , and many more. Timing of Mass Everyday : 7 am (Konkani) Saturday : 6 pm (English) Sunday : 7 am (Konkani), 8.30 am (Konkani), 11 am (English) Please note this is NOT the place where St. Francis Xavier's body is kept. The body of St. Francis Xavier is kept at Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa

Great Monument. Peacefull place. Tourists allowed. Photography is allowed but personal photos are prohibited inside the church. Clean and shady lones near the church. Must visit place in Goa.

Attended mass several times. Its very peaceful. Was decorated very well during Xmas and New Year

Serenading!! The Lord's presence even from the outside is so strong that you will feel like you were just rejuvenated by Christian Religion.. It was actually just beside the hotel I was staying.. Convenience... Just a couple walk steps away.. P.S If you ever come to Goa and you are careful about your money.. ALWAYS TAKE BUSES.. THAT IS FOR REAL.. And ask where the location you are going to is actually situated?? Take pictures of the place you are going to with you.. I Found It In a very depressing way.. BElieve ME!! Go to St. Francis Xavier when you Come to Goa And my loved ones and dear friends DO COME GOA!!!
