Beautiful and amazing 200 year old church. Maintained very well. When I visited routine maintenance/painting was going on. The large compound is very neatly kept. The car parking area is tarred and properly marked. Other buildings in the compound are also maintained well. Good commentable work by all concerned in keeping this old church and surroundings in very good condition.

Beautiful scottish church. Loved the worship and service there.

It was built to serve the Scottish community in Chennai. Building started 6 April 1818 and the church was consecrated in 1821. It was designed and executed by Major Thomas de Havilland and Colonel James Caldwell of the Madras Engineers. The body of the church is a circle, with rectangular compartments to the east and west. The circular part 24.5 m in diameter, is crowned by a shallow masonry dome colored a deep blue. This is painted with golden stars and supported by 16 fluted pillars with Corinthian capitals. Dominating the altar is the pipe organ in dull green and burnished gold. Built in New Yorkshire, England, this instrument was installed in 1883.

Visted their for my friend marriage.. marriage happened inside the church.. there were so many preaches for the couple to live their life happily with god. Their reception took place outside at their ground... Their decorations where superb and reception food was good.

A good calm and blissful place in the city.... They have a church and few other service project running with in the campus. The use to rent the ground for weddings. Quite, an Eco-friendly place to be At...

Beautiful Scottish Missionary Church. Massive with lots of space for multiple parking and church related activities. More than 200 years old church and a heritage building. Just behind Egmore station and easily accessible. Truly a magnificent building. Heritage building. A peaceful church in the middle of the city with huge open space and greenery.

Probably one of the best architectural marvels amongst church buildings in the world. The grandeur and enormity of the structures especially the pillars, both outside and inside the church make you feel humble and gives you a perspective of the place that you hold with this life in this multiverse. Services are all in English and western styled. Unlike the recent churches that make church service an English rock show service at this church is calm and soul stirring. Many good old people to speak to and get volumes of knowledge. A must visit place for any person who is in search of himself or as a traveling stop.
