St Andrews Beach - Public beach in Thiruvananthapuram, Menamkulam - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Beautiful beach and not very crowded. Sea was a bit rough when we went there so we have to be careful. They have a beach park nearby where we can sit and enjoy the beauty. It is decorated with wall arts and is well maintained. Kids have a small park also inside this. Adults can sit and enjoy the scenic beauty from within the park, sunset view is awesome. Nice place to spend time with family and kids in the evening with the breezy sea winds and night views of the sea. But no proper Boundaries for the sea in the night time as there is no lights too. Apart from this many are enjoying the Beautiful and lovely Wall arts. Arts are really beautiful and realistic even in night time... Also there is small playing area for kids and seating for adults. Nice memories with my family. The majestic beach where we can get so much positivity and happiness....Well maintained beach coast with so many varieties of restaurants... Beach Park situated close to beach and the view from there is just awesome. The park is too well maintained which offers the beautiful view of beach in the evening

It's a beautiful beach to spend the evenings with family. Not suitable to take bath.

A quiet place to hangout with friends and family. This is one of the cleanest beaches I've seen. There is literally no crowd in this beach. Here you can take an evening walk through the shores watching the sunset peacefully. This place doesn't have any shops/ vendors that serve tea or snacks. But you can see many fishing boats on the shore. The view is really beautiful . Also the beach has a steep slope, so please be careful if you are going into water. There is no lifeguard present here.

Nice calm location near Kazhakoottam to spend the evening. The beach is right opposite to St. Andrew's church. There is a narrow passage to beach from Menamkulam-Perumathura road. Parking available for few cars. Others have to be parked by the roads. I went on a Sunday evening. Most of the visitors were family. There were no stalls (so dont expect to buy icecream). Saw many boats near the shore, getting ready to go. Even though beach is cleaner than Shanmukham or Kovalam, plastic wastes are still an issue. Saw many stray dogs. Came back by 7 pm, so not sure about street lights at the night..

The only people who visit this beach are the local people who stay nearby or TCSers who stay in scarlet for training. A peaceful place to visit for a early morning jog on a weekend or a game of football. It is recommended to leave this place before it gets dark as it is located in a remote area and hence can be dangerous. Also swimming is a big NO NO here as the slope of the water bed is quite steep.

This is an excellent beach for beach fishing as permanent rip holes exist against the reefs and gutters along the rocks, creating a haven for fish. It is a popular surf location with many good breaks that attracts surfers all year round.

One of the cleanest beaches I have been to. Very nice weather, great view and lovely sand. This beach is usually not much crowded. It's an awesome place to hangout with friends and play football/volleyball (Don't worry you will never lose your ball, the waves bring them back. Trust me I have tried.). Overall a great experience, I recommend it.

One of the perfect beaches to hangout with family and friends. The beach is clean and at this season the sea is less violent. There are no life guards to give instructions so be careful on swimming in the sea.
