St Aloysius school was build in 1847, ten years before the first war of independence. The school was built by Bishop Tissot the first bishop of Vizagapatnam. Initially built for educating the children of British military personnel. The 175 years old school remains intact to this day.

175 years of St. Aloysius High School was celebrated this day. Was very reputed school of Visakhapatnam. However, due to its location at south end of city, wherein the city can grow no further due to port area, the school could not maintain the same glamour and tempo. But the principles of Virtue et loboure still persists. Established in 1847, the school had seen many generations and groomed many students who are Judges, Eminent engineers, Doctors, Professors....
Had visited this school as a part of my school's excursion tour to Vizag. Iam not a student of this school but as I had visited this school so I would definitely like to add a few lines about this school. This is a big and beautiful school. A part of the shoot of the telugu movie "JAANU" was also done in this school. The teachers are very good. This school gives top most priority to impart value based education to its students.
This is the same school that was shown in the Telugu movie Jaanu. The school looks beautiful from the outside. I'm not a student in this school so I can't say much about the education quality here. It is an ICSE school.
The school was awesome.I don't think it is anymore now.It was one of the most praised and best schools in Vizag. But that's all in the past. Anyways, it is a great place to have fun with your friends.
