SS BeachResort - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

The room is neat and clean but the issue with the pricing. Price is too much and they are providing check-in at 1.30 PM which is something new for me. Whereas checkout at 11.00. The restaurant is not for the pure veg public.

Had a horrible experience staying here. Hot water wasn't available for bathing. The bathroom door didn't lock and the doors in general were very difficult to open and operate. One of the walls were completely wet along its length. The floors were stained and cracked in places. They did not provide tissue papers. There were no facilities for the driver to stay.

Got a view to the beach and at a walkable distance to cliff beach. Rooms are fine for bachelors, not ideal for families. At midnight, all the electricals were not working except AC. We thought of calling the service the next morning so as to not disturb our sleep. In the morning we called and complained about the situation. A guy came and went to and fro multiple times. At last, the issue somehow got resolved as we removed the key from the key holder that we usually see in hotels for sometime and inserted it again.

One of the finest hotels in Varkala. Good rooms at reasonable price. Food was served hot and tasty. Room service was also good. Property has a elegant view to the beach along with a beer and wine parlour. Best place in varkala to stay with family and friends

Service is pathetic.No hot water for bathroom and when asked for hot water only security was there to take care of the resort and he said he don't know anything.No Regulator for ceiling fan.No tea kettle, but creamer and sugar are there.No shampoo provided.Room is average.

The room was so nice..It was directly facing to the sea..And the sunset and sunrise view was wonderful from the room directly..The food was also nice.. Chicken Al farm was the best.. Overall It was a nice experience..

SS Beach Resort is an average place in Varkkala to stay which is located near the Starting of Varkkala cliff. The place is located near public parking which is an advatage. We a group of 3 people checked in at the place at around 3 pm the front desk staff was friendly. We booked it through Make My Trip (MMT) Which included the extra bed fee, so while checking they said that they will deliver the extra bed at night. But at night the person who sitted on the front desk was gone and we asked for the extra bed to another guy, he said that the booking not having extra bed amount only extra person amount is added to the booking and blah blah blah. After some talking he said that he will give the extra bed and settle it after consulting the front desk tommorrow atlast We got the extra bed. About the rooms: Rooms was average and the washroom was okay, the shower is not working properly, there is no hot water. In the MMT site they said that room is sound proof, but reality is the complete opposite. Ratings: Room: 3 star Washroom : 2 star Overall : 2.5 star

The receptionist was not available at the reception. I have already booked a room in makemytrip and visited the hotel, he delayed for a 30 minutes to give us room. Apart from that, the rooms were good and nice.
