Historical monument... But, the authorities have not given enough consideration. A lot of maintenance needs to be done.
An education as well as a pilgrimage center for our men in forces, historian's architects.its a perfect engineering model for patriotic people. The entire place was here recreated in a birds view. Watchtower's are perfectly designed. A satisfied place.
Sound and light shows are now gaining popularity in India, these are the best medium to know about the history and importance of any place. Likewise, Srirangapatnam sound and light show is. Every day two shows, one in Kannada and other one in English are being run. The miniature architectures of importance of Srirangapatnam and Tipu Sultan are created here, to give better idea and making the show more interesting. Place is best to visit in night for show only, visiting in daytime is just a waste and does not serves any purpose.
It's a part of the ruins of srirangapatna fort. There is nothing much original to see inside other than the ruins of fort & Delhi gate of the fort. Models of Summer palace, Jamia Masjid & Sriranganatha temple are there. These are built by the private agency who run the light & sound show. Show is in the evening. Costs 100Rs per adult. Entry ticket to fort costs 25Rs.
Unfortunately I have not attended the light show here.. Day time you can visit and roam around the fort. Which has models of some monuments like summer palace, Temple and some more.
Duration of light & dace musical fountain is only 15 mins every evening (7:00-7:15pm, 7:15-7:30 pm, 7:30-7:45 pm & 7:45-8:00pm).
It's a nice place to visit. Beautiful garden(s) & boating are other attractions, many Street side fast food options (tea, coffee, pakoras, corn etc ) are available.
A place with historical background. But it is not maintained well. It is working only for collecting entry fee..
Its just an old fort with a temple and a masjid inside. Since went during day time we hasnt seen any light and sound show to comment. Entry fee 20 was too much just to see the fort.

Not a big infra. One can go around in 15-30'mins . All surfaces painted with bright colours. Since it is maintained by the archeological survey of India, the garden and palace are well kept.
