SRIRAM SAGAR RESERVOIR - Park in Old Pochampad - Nizamabad, India

We went on weekend when the gates are opened.. Awesome view.. Enjoyed alot.. Parking problem.

A good reservoir on NH44, very close, just 3kms inside from the main highway. Road is a proper until the dam. 20rs in entry fee. PArking is congested. But dam and reservoir is good and huge. It has 42 gates. As of today water want enough and hence gates were closed. But overall view of lake made us all happy. It was very windy too, making it pleasant stop in the journey

It was an awesome experience to visit this place. The big dam with 42 gates is one of the biggest that I visited in Hyderabad till now. It's a great tourist destination, and would definitely suggest to visit with family and friends.

Sriramsagar is an irrigation project across river Godavari in Telangana to serve irrigational needs in Karimnagar, Warangal, Adilabad, Nalgonda, and Khammam districts. It also provides drinking water to Warangal city. There is a hydroelectric plant working at the dam site, with 4 turbines each with 9 MW capacity generating 36 MW.

2 and half hour drive from Medchal. Place is in near vicinity of Kuntala Waterfalls(50 KMs approx). Has a hydro electric plant near the dam. A good visiting place from Hyderabad. Walking on the dam is not restricted so its quite pleasurable to walk and see the gates.

Nice environment but no entry in these days.Highest capacity storage of water in TS with 42 gated outflow, 21 are under Nijamabad and other 21 are under Adilabad.

Sri ram sagar project is an historic place it was inaugurated by nehru you will see total 42 gates and this is the only dam where you can walk and see the gates you will really love this place for kids here you can see the park to play

Nice place to visit in the season. Got few eateries during day time.
