Sriram Lodge and Mess - Lodge in Vaitheeswarankoil - Mayiladuthurai, India

We recently stayed for 2 days on a temple trip. Room was comfortable. We had lunch on 2 days and it was very tasty and fresh. Room toilet was cleaned by phenyl when we checked in. TV remote was working and so was AC. very courteous owner and staff. Right next to temple.

Good choice for it's price. Nearest to Vaitheeswaran temple. Rooms was neat and clean. Well maintained. Many pure vegetarian hotals are available. We can get frequent buses to sirkazhi, chidambaram, mayiladuthurai, kumbakonam. Railway station is located at walking distance. If you come for temple with your family, then this is the best place to stay. Non AC - 800 AC - 1100 (Current price in April 2023)

The guy that runs this lodge and mess is a rogue and a third rated person. The food served to us for lunch was very sub standard and spicy. We asked him to bring ghee to which he played out a mini play acting as though he goes upstairs and came back 10 minutes later, presuming we will eat the spicy sambhar as is. He was very disrespectful towards our family members when we mentioned our displeasure he was ready to engage in more confrontation. It also appears he is mentioning a rate for the rooms but charging lot more than initially mentioned. He appears to be rowdy seemingly running a lodge close to a temple. I'm obviously not going there anytime soon and will absolutely not recommend this lodge or mess to anyone ever!

I have booked a big room with AC facility. Once i reached the lodge they said by mistake it was booked to other person. Instead he gave me a small AC room. Top of that very rude attitude and they way he spoke to is like i staying for free. Worst logde in this area. No professionalism just speaking some rubbish later he said if you want to speak anything speak to owner.

Very neat rooms and price is also affordable

Simple and nice place close very to temple...just outside temple entrance...Car parking could be a challenge..Clean and good rooms and owner at times shows his displeasure openly which can be avoided especially during Dinning

If you are looking for a palce to stay have dharshan in Vaitheeswaran temple then you must try this place. Awesome Food. Economy on Room Tariff. Place is clean. Close to Temple Pond entrance .

This lodge is very unprofessional with rates. While booking says one rate and while checking out demands extra money. Their food cost is also high comparing to nearby good hotels. Never booking room again here... It is more cost minded than the customer satisfaction..
