Sri Vengeri Mahadeva Temple - Hindu temple in Ottapalam - Palakkad, India

This is a very famous Shiva temple.with lord Shiva, human, Vishnu, Hanuman. Ganesh & Sri mahavir also worshipped here. Temple is trying to get nearby plot to purchase for expand temple activities, anybody has interest to donate pl do without hesitation.

Sri Vengeri Mahadeva Temple is located at Ottapalam in Palakkad district, not far from the town, but within 100 meters of the road from Ottapalam to Palakkad. The main deities are Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Sacrifice for the land is important. There is also a serpent pooja on Ayilyama days. A small temple in a serene atmosphere is very beautiful. The fact that vehicles have to park on the main road outside makes it a bit of a hassle.

This temple opens at 5:30 am and closes at 10:30 am. Am not sure about the evening timing. This is one of the Lord Shiva temple where you see Lord Guruvayoor Appam idol as well. Very nice atmosphere. Though the alley to the temple is narrow.

Open to public now. But can't enter inside the temple for worship due to covid restrictions. No parking facility for four wheeler. However, two wheelers can be parked near to the temple road and four wheeler can be parked in the main road. Also, online booking facilities available.
