Good Temple and well maintained by staff. Priest explained in detail, performed Pooja to our atmost satisfaction. Worth seeing.
It's a very old temple people visit here with Birth chart and get it placed on brahmas feet thru priest who does a short pooja and makes sure if any kantaka is there will be minimised . I have visited the temple and it's really highly energetic.
At the right side of the sanctum sanctorum Brahma is found in a separate shrine. He is flanked by Saraswati and Gayatri. At the left, Yoganarasimha is found with Sridevi and Bhoodevi. Also, it is not the only temple dedicated to Brahma in the world, the other temple being the Brahma Temple, Pushkar, in Pushkar, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. In addition, there is a temple dedicated to Brahma (with four faces) at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
This is a unique temple of Kumbakonam. Vishnu is the moolavar and presiding deity in form of Vedanarayanaperumal with Mata Lakshmi. The main attraction of this temple is the idol of Lord Brahma and with Gayathri as his 4th face. You have to request the priest and he can show you the face of 4th face of Brahma, Goddess Gayathri with some nominal dakshina. But, this was a unique experience.
This temple wasn't part of our trip itinerary but we were asked to visit the place by locals who said it's a must visit. The main deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu In the form of Vedanarayana Perumal. There's also a sanctum for Lord Brahma and Narasimha. There aren't many temples dedicated to Lord Brahma - the creator. It's a quaint lovely temple. It's located at a walkable distance from the Mahamaham tank.
Place is silent and not crowded. Lots of vibrations. There are Vishnu deities as well which are very good. Walking distance from sarangapani temple chariot. Don't miss this temple as it's very unique temple to lord Brahms.
Actually the main deity is Lord Venkatesh but side sanctum is of Lord Brahma. Good nice small temple.
Have been to kumbakonam many a number of times and had missed this gold mine till date. A very beautiful temple this is. Do request the archakar mama to show the 4th face of Lord Brahma. Here, Lord brahma is Arthanai where the 4th face is that of Ma Gayathri. It is fulfilling to listen to the stala story from the archakar.
