Sri Surya - Restaurant in Tiruppur - Tiruppur, India

Interior is well done and the steel beams have been well covered up and mica sheet has been well folded to create flowery domes on roof lighting- simple yet elegant and stylish. There's parking for about 4-5 cars right in front. Being a restaurant with a as it's mascot, dared to go in as a vegetarian of course with non-veg company. Not many dishes were available on a Tuesday night- no mutton leg soup, no prawns based dish (initially), no paneer tikka, no karandi omelette. At one point we felt that anything we ask was getting told that it being not there. However whatever were available were fabulously tasty- bun porotta (not sure it it really was a bun porotta apart from the presentation) was soft yet crispy and tasty, and priced at Rs55/piece. Special porotta roasted with ghee was more crispy and "gheey" if that a word- worth the Rs75. Japanese mushroom was a surprising outcome- nice shiitake-like mushrooms in creamy sauce- it probably has nothing to do with Japan, but it still was tasty though tad a bit pricey at Rs220. Plain Kalakki was nothing special. If a vegetarian is present, ensure that extra gravy is ordered that is vegetarian. By default they give chicken gravy in a small bucket for any of the beads. Given the surprising outcome of Japanese mushrooms, I wouldn't mind trying out a few more veg dishes with an all veg gang!

They are one of the good non-veg restaurants in Tirupur(But their food quality was not consistent during my visits). Their Biryani, Mutton Kola, and Vanjaram Tawa Fry were good. I have visited here multiple times and in my experience meat & fish quality was not the same every time. During one of my visits, they served cold biryani, and once their fish tasted stale. I recommend you visit on Friday/Saturday or during lunch on a Sunday(My worst experiences were mostly during dinner on Sunday).

No 1 fraud in Tirupur town... for biriyani not providing onion raitha n gravy for parsal and pathetic kal dosa for Rs60 and pepper mutton full of fat and bones no proper pieces n biriyani also they are charging Rs300 but providing only 2 small pieces worthless

Very good restaurant. Good food. Nice place to group of people to sit together and eat. Parking space is less.

Nice Hotel with capacity to park 5 cars in front of the hotel and rest on the road side. Not a heavy traffic road but the trees on the road side will hide the hotel view. Briyani and Bun Parotta were very tasty. We all loved it. But some dry items ordered were felt half cooked. Good to try this hotel. Nice place with options for couples, friends and family dining.

This place was placed on Avinashi - Tiruppur Rd . The hotel ambience is a good look & full A/C atmosphere. We are Groups of people who finished dinner here. We ordered Veg & Non- Veg food varieties. Non veg food options taste very good , Chicken Biryani , Chicken kothu, Nadu Koli dry, along with Bun parotta & roti . My vegetarian friends ordered mushroom gravy with roti & geeroast etc... They are unsatisfied with the vegetarian food taste in this restaurant. But non-veg food is good .. But service was very fast and a timely response . Overall food is good but not worth spending huge money . The food cost is too high compared to any other restaurants like haribhavanam.... Menu card food prices Rs/ are not updated till...also.... Price varying in final bill......

Good restaurant. Biryani is consistently good here; but the quantity given is less. Don't get fooled by the size of the biryani vessel size; it is of double layer and the actual biryani quantity is nearly half of the vessel size. Branch in pushpa theatre bus stop is always crowded. But this branch is less crowded and has more seats with better ambience. Price is little above moderate. I don't like Elaneer payasam which gets recommended by servers here. It just tastes more like milk and less coconut. Too pricey for less quantity.

We had a great time at Sri Surya. Lovely place for a nice lunch. They have a wide array of items . The service is decent and they serve hot delicious food. We found a wide variety of sea food, chicken and mutton here . They serve food on plantain leaf . There is a small area for parking and can accommodate about 3 cars
