Sri Somanatha Swami Temple (PURA) - Hindu temple in Pura - Koppal, India

Beautiful temple that doesn't have enough reach to outside world. One has to go proper full body workout to reach the inner most deity of the temple. It was raining during my visit which adds to the awesomeness of the place and equally makes it difficult to navigate the areas within the temple. Caution at all times because we could constantly hit our backs to the rock beams up top as we come through the narrow and short openings thinking we cleared the opening. All in all must visit destination. It is around 35 km from Sindhanur on the road leading to Kushtagi. Parking space is of abundance due to not much people presence in the surrounding area.

A temple known to contain lakhs of Shivalingas. A pleasant surprise not on the popular tourist circuit, about 30 kms from Hosprt, but worth a visit. Little tough with very low entrances, but with very well sculpted figures.

Must visit historical place. Approach road is very pathetic and road is completely ruined.

This is believed to be the oldest temple, where the people have to take a bow and walk to have dharshana of Lord Somanatha(Eshwar). It's very peaceful place
