Owner is very helpful and kind. Got late to reach location but owner followed up by calling and guiding on the frequency of buses to the location.Came to pick up from bus stop as we reached late to the location.

One of the best stay in the locality and the best service offered by the staff, the rooms are very clean and neat.

Very close to the falls. Room rates are also reasonable (paid 1400 for a large family room, 4 people). Rooms are well maintained. Only problem we had was only one electric point so we had to manage mosquito repellent, phone chargers but it's OK. Can't expect all facilities. Had a good experience here.

This lodge has clean and wide rooms with neat and clean sheets. Cleanliness is well maintained and they rooms for even large group of people. There is hot water facility for taking bath during winter season. Just next to the homestay we can see the river sharavati flowing towards jog falls and on the other side of the river is the thick forest region. It's the best place to witness sun rise/set and if you're lucky you will also get to see peacocks, tucans and other exotic birds. Although there are no hotels available nearby the food provided in the homestay is quite tasty as it's freshly prepared by their cook and served. They have both veg/non-veg cuisine but limited items. Be prepared to cut yourself from outside world as there is absolutely no network available. Also since the rooms are so close to each other there is lot of noise from neibouring rooms and people checking in throughout the day especially during weekends and holiday season. Room rent is moderate as we visited during weekend but it was off season. Rent will shoot up during rainy season which is the peak of visitors arriving to witness jog falls in all it's glory.

One star only for the location. Looking at the reviews in Google & travel portal had booked this. But, nothing here is up to the mark. Budget accommodation with issues at everything from the rooms to hot water. The owner stays in the ground floor of the property but insists he doesn't know issues with fan working sluggishly in one of the rooms. Hot water is available only from 6-9 am & during that time cold water is unavailable to mix with hot water. Other times only cold water is available. The bed, rooms, AC everything needs to be fixed. On checking for all the issues, the owner is not worried about anything & suggests I can write any critical review & he isn't concerned. The food provided isn't good too. I would recommend staying at some other hotel nearby or if possible stay at Kumta, Murdeshwar or Gokarna & visit Jog Falls as there are some accommodations at these places. Edit: I never post any big response but for this place I need to inform every other traveller like me to know the issues with the property & then make informed decisions. The owner has just replied. Lol. The reply (no mention about the issues with fan & rooms, hot water & food) just confirms my point that they are only concerned about money & not interested in properly maintaining the property. I booked for 7 adults, 2 children & came only with 5 Adults, 2 children & look at the response. How can a property owner lie. I guess integrity issues. I personally paid Rs780 (which he asked for) for the food & that's where I requested for a refund due to issues with rooms, hot water, fan & see the response. During this payment he mentioned he needs just money & personally confirmed that I can post any review & he will not be affected. Again see the response related to money which is uncalled for especially after the payment. Will any owner leave the customer without payment??? Room#1 has issues with the fan. (no AC as outdoor unit is damaged). I'm sure he wouldn't have fixed it even after 5 days as it seems only getting money from customers is the criteria here & maintaining property has no value. I need to thank him for confirming the issues mentioned. I visited 5 cities in a span of 7 days & this is the only hotel/homestay where I had a bad experience.

Well maintained rooms. It's a normal budget home stay. But will strong recommend. They have maintained the rooms, very good service, excellent food. They have parking space and good landscape. Full on value for money. I strongly recommend.

The rooms smelled of cigarets with ants running around. Dogs were barking all evening long and no one was going to calm them down. Among good things: warm blanket, hot water (unexpectedly in the evening) and free water at check in and check out.
