Nestled in the historic part of Porur, it's a historic temple with a big Sivalingam. Apsidal temple plan with Sivalingam in Garbhagudi it has a very interesting Pranala(exit pipe for Abhishek water). The huge temple entrance gateway(gopuram) is built with a domical roof, very unique in South Indian Temple.

One of the old Shiva temple located near porur. Here specially for guru and saniswarar separately kept. Atmosphere is very calm and neat.

Divine place !!! It's situated in the busy place. But inside temple you'll feel pleasant and blessed.. Every one will feel a change in ur life when u visit here.. Best time to attend: Sunday's 4.30pm (Kaala bhairavar poojai)..

This siva temple is but unique. You will get vibuthi as well as theertham(and they will keep sadai in your head) as prasadham. This is because shivan helped ramar to find his way to Lanka. (Same as Rameshwaram) You can also visit couple of brass article shops nearby.
