This Beautiful temple is not amongst the 108 Vaishnava Sthalangal described by the great Alwars. It is a Abhimanasthalam. Yet the Beauty of Sri Vidya Rajagopalan cannot be matched with those in other temples, baring certain temples like, Vaduvur, Nagapattinam etc.,
Well maintained temple but not a well maintained pond. Since it's up to the people over there to maintain. They will use a few times a year for carnivals which take place in the temple.
