Sri Panduranga Swamy Temple - Hindu temple in Thennangur - Tiruvannamalai, India

The idols are grand and elegantly dressed with great enthusiasm and spirit in colourful clothes and beautiful jewellery. The sight of the beautifully decorated idols is a treat to the eyes. Many get mesmerised by the dazzling beauty of the idols and witness, not just the blessings of the Almighty, but also the magical vibe in the temple atmosphere.

One of the devotional places with a maintained ambiance. Gents will be asked to remove shirts and tees before entering the sanctum. Open car parking is available. Veg restaurant are available and well maintained restrooms are available for gents and ladies separately. The only concern I have felt is, they will be deciding how much you have to do offering to God and better to keep 50's separately to do bhiksha in and around the temple since they aren't accepting 10's and 20's. Apart from that, this is a must visit place near Chennai. (Must be approximately 93-95kms from Airport)

Must visit temple with family. Huge car parking place is available. Temple is in the national highway itself. If u go inside the main temple, the design and history of krishna is nicely depicted through photos. There is no hundi in temple. Daily different alankar is done for the God. Since I went on Saturday, lord panduranga was alankared like venkateswara, as like tirupathi. We can go to front and see the God. Mens should remove shirt and baniyan to see god. I was very lucky to get the puliyogere prasadam served to god.

Devine place, lord venkatesawara shrine, we have chance to see the idol very close, they practice the same way followed in tirumala, each day the deity will be decorated in different avatars. We should appreciate the priest and team over there, though there is no major offerings/ contribution they way the decorate the deity is wlite

The temple is located at Thenangur near Vandavasi in Thiruvannamalai District in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is at a distance of 92 Kms from the Chennai Airport. Should take about 2 hours time by road from Chennai Airport. Temple timings: 6 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 8 pm. Presiding deities : Panduranga swamy and Ragumaayee Thaayaar. Temple referred by devotees as Bhooloka Vaikuntam. The Gopuram of the main Sannidhi resembles the Architectural style of Puri Jagannath temple, while the Gopuram at the entrances are in the Dravidian style as in all temples in the state of Tamil Nadu. Temple constructed by Guruji Haridas Giri Swamigal. Currently Shri Balaji , Shri Sampath and the extended team are doing exemplary work in the conduct of Utsavams and every day Poojas. Must visit temple.

Presiding deity Lord Panduranga and his consert Goddess Ragumayee / Rukmani are beautiful. Lord is 5feet 6inches tall. It is said that Lord played flute under Thamala tree (sthala vriksham) which brought Radha towards him in Dwapara Yuga. This temple is considered one among Abhimana Desams. Must visit temple.

Temple look was very beautiful... We should be helpful to maintain this type of wonderful temples... They are financially down I think so... Vittala Paanduranga.... Do some miracle in this Kanthaga Bhooomi...
