Sri Panchkund Shiva Temple - Hindu temple in Pushkar - Ajmer, India

One of my favorite temples and the most quite place to Escape the Pushkar noise sometimes. A must visit. It can be a long hike from the town, or a rough Bike ride! Don't drive their if you're not an experienced biker! Just park it at the Red Temple below and walk the rest of the way up!

I stumbled upon this on a motorcycle trip, and it's a peaceful place for those who appreciate ancient temples and simple village surroundings. The main (Pandava-built) temple there is approximately 5000 years old - which was hard to get my head around! The fact that a great devotee of Krishna (Arjuna) built this temple for the worship of Lord Shiva is a great testimonial to his humility and total dedication to Krishna's vision, as Lord Shiva is revered by many Vaishnavas as the greatest devotee. There is also a very nice rich red Ganesha temple opposite, which seems fitting also - knowing the relationship of Lord Shiva and Sri Ganesha. Note: Picture posted here is opposite the temple.

Panchkund Temple situated in the valley nearby Pushkar, you can enjoy waterfalls in rainy season.

Amazing place in the foothills of arawali mountain range. Special part is that their are 5 kunds of pandavas from the epic Mahabharata. They stayed here and worshipped god . Other than this their is a Gaumukh kund also near by which is non stop source of natural water or ground water Must visit there and drink that water
