Quality food and quality service. Everything tastes like how it should. Ginger chutney is spicy and top notch! Best coffee that I've had in Madurai! Meenakshi shop is a chain, tiifin, snacks and tea and coffee shops are all interlinked and the servers will take the order to any shop and bring it! It is a bit over priced compared to the shops nearby, but it's worth it. It reeks of quality.

Meenakshi Amman Temple, also known as Minakshi-Sundareshwara Temple, is one of the oldest and most significant temples in India. Located in the city of Madurai, the temple has a great mythological and historical significance. It is believed that Lord Shiva assumed the form of Sundareswarar (the handsome one) and married Parvati (Meenakshi) at the site where the temple is currently located. Renowned for its astonishing architecture, Meenakshi Temple was nominated as one of the wonders of the world, but couldn't make it into the list of 'Seven Wonders of the World'. However, the temple is definitely one of the 'Wonders of India'. It is also one of the main attractions of South India with thousands of devotees thronging it every day. During the 'Tirukalyanam Festival,' which takes place over a period of 10 days, the temple attracts more than a million devotees. Despite many people visiting it every day, the temple is well-maintained and was named the 'Best Swachh Iconic Place' (cleanest iconic place) in India.

This place is crazy good for the South Indian snacks & is a must visit close to the meenakshi Amman temple. Must haves are as follows- savoury & sweet Panniarams. Idlis, sweet butter bun ( with homemade butter) & poli. Badam milk, coffee & jigarthanda in beverages. Also the parotta kurma/curry gravy are also great. This place is situated in a corner & their shop is across the road as well. For me personally, this was a n unexpectedly great discovery & a pleasant surprise post visiting the temple & surrounding area. Must try the snacks if you are here. Have not tried the lunch items & this review is not about those items on the menu.

Had sweet and kaara paniyaram, butter bun. Taste is decent. 1 small paniyaram costs 12rs which is not at all acceptable. It's in small and busy street around Meenakshi Amman temple. Very small shop with 1 or 2 table to sit. As is many shops here, only cash is accepted. No online payments so carry enough cash

Had paneer noodles and chilli parotta. The taste was very good. Worth all the money i spent there.. There was this one cleaning grandma she was so sweet, don't miss out the opportunity to talk to her. Beware: The place is always crowded so don't expect peace there.

I have given 3 star because here the tea coffee and extra other food stuffs are very good and people are always around the hotel, opposite they have tiffin and lunch eatery but I have visited this place to taste the butter bun and paniyaram which is known for and famous but when I visited at 2 pm they have told it will be available at 4 pm, I have went again at 4:30 pm they have said it's not available only paniyaram is available but not butter bun, they would have told it earlier when I have asked it, I am totally disappointed with that.

Hey, here you can get all the famous stuffs of Madurai. Like paniyaram, butter bun and other small small snacks. great place to stand with your friends and see some good colors. Colors of food, I said. ^Mani.
