Sri Kshetra Kutadri - Koodumale - Shri Mahaganapati Temple - Featured Reviews (2824)
An old and famous temple near mulbagal bearing quite a bit of history. Has a huge vinayaka idol, located in a peaceful place amidst rocky hills and has a big parking area for which one has to take a left around 200m before the temple. Management of the queue can be improved, waited close to an hour with close to nil movement of people for large parts.
This temple's history is wonderful to know about, and speaks volumes about the power of this place. Lord Ganesha is made from Saligrama (a type of fossilised rock) and remained in the open space until Krishnadevaraya decided to build a temple with a roof. Almost always empty, one can spend quality time here at this temple. Cars can be parked nearby. A few shops near the temple offer pooja items required. A must visit temple.
A must visit temple. Its 2 hours drive from Bengaluru. Temple timings are strictly followed. It also includes closure during abhisheka and alangaram. We had to wait from 09 am to 1030 am for alankara. But it was worth the wait. Also one can find the best rest room separately for gents and ladies just hardly 50 m from the temple. All the tourist place should have such a good rest room. People are good and it will be worth to buy flowers and archana materials from here. Idol is made of saligrama and is around 13 feet height. Archaka calls devotees batch by batch and will do pooja. We were really blessed to have darshan very near to the garbha griha. It was worth the visit. Also dont forget to visit the famous Prasad Hotel at Mulbagal to have tasty and crispy Mulbagal Masala Dosa.
The Kurudumale Shri Mahaganapati Temple is a sacred place of worship located in the village of Kurudumale, Karnataka, around 10 kilometres from Mulbagal. One can drive up to the entrance and enter the forecourt. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The idol sits on a pedestal of nearly 4 feet and is 13.5 feet tall. The temple holds great significance for devotees, as it is believed to be an ancient temple with a history dating back several centuries. The architectural style of the temple is mesmerising, showcasing intricate carvings and sculptures that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. Visiting the Kurudumale Shri Mahaganapati Temple offers a deeply spiritual experience. As you enter the temple premises, you can feel a sense of serenity and divine energy. The peaceful atmosphere creates the perfect ambiance for devotees to offer their prayers and seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. The idol of Lord Ganesha within the temple is believed to be self-manifested, adding to the sanctity and reverence associated with the shrine. Devotees flock to this temple, particularly on auspicious occasions and festivals, to participate in religious rituals and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
Super place, Devine and Delightful One of the best of its kind and Peaceful surrounded by beautiful nature. Having more than 1200 years history, that includes Cholas and Vijayanagar Krishnadevaraya empire proofs can be seen in the architecture
Watching Ganesha vighraha/idol is a blessing. The temple is 10kms from Mulbagal. Public transport is available for every 1hour from Mulbagal KSRTC bus stand. However you can go by your own transport and there is some place for car parking as well. I did visit on a public holiday, there was a littel crowd, however it did not take more than 10 mins for Darshana. The place is so peacefull and you can meditate in the temple peacefully.
Temple management is very good. peaceful environment, well maintained park in front of the temple.
Mesmerizing Road, Worthwhile Road trip & Visiting an ancient Temple in My State... Awesome... We had to wait as it was the day after Lunar Eclipse, But Weekdays it may be less...
