Sri Krishna Rajendra Botanical Park - Park in Manchethevaru - Chikkamagaluru, India

I visited this place in September 2023, which is located near Kemmangundi jungle resort. The atmosphere is superb, with mist adding to the charm. The cleanliness is commendable, and the best part is that you can drive your car right up to the point. A great spot for nature enthusiasts and a must-visit! However, it's worth noting that despite its name as a botanical garden, there are no botanical plants to be found here. While it may be a bit misleading in that regard, the overall experience and natural beauty make it a worthwhile visit for nature enthusiasts.

Also known as Kemmangundi hill station. This place is a gateway to many Paradise. The place is a junction and has government resorts and hotels for the tourists. This is the starting place for Z point trekking and hebbe falls safari.

My experience at Krishnarajendra Botanical Garden in Chikkamagaluru was mixed. While the garden boasts a rich history and beautiful natural surroundings, there were some aspects that left room for improvement. To start with, the road leading to the park is on the left side of the entry to hebbe falls. The road to the park is horrible. It's almost like an off roading experience and vehicles with smaller ground clearance should be careful. There is hardly any mobile signal on this road. Coming to the park, there is an entry checkpoint charging 120 INR for entry. The park has ample parking (concrete). The well-maintained pathways and diverse plant collection were impressive, but the overall maintenance seemed lacking. There were hardly any blooming rose plants. Furthermore, the absence of informative signage or guides made it challenging to fully appreciate the botanical diversity on display. Despite these shortcomings, the garden's historical significance and serene ambiance did offer a pleasant escape from the city. However, to elevate its status, more attention to maintenance and visitor amenities is needed to truly make it a top-notch botanical attraction in Chikkamagaluru. The sunset views on the valley side are truly amazing and the breeze gets cold very fast as the sun drops down. Do carry jackets and beanies to protect yourself. Do check out the pics

Kemmannugundi park is well maintained one. But the tourist make it a garbage by throwing plastics and other materials. The authorities should not allow any eatables to the area. The approach road about 2 km is horrible.

The place is near to Shanti falls/Z point trek point so you can pay a short visit. The place contains a garden, view point and play area for kids. The place also contains pay and use toilets but they need to be better maintained. You can spend max 30 minutes here. There is no parking or entry fee.
