Sri Krishna Bhavan KRA Complex - Restaurant in Thanjavur - Thanjavur, India

Most misleading looks. I entered this Restaurent seeing the Board it host a Veg Restaurent and a Art Emporoum. But turned out to be a Worst Restaurent. At such a Busy place (Opp. to Thanjavur Big Temple), they have only Coffee/Tea around 5 pm. Coffee was very very bad, so frothy and with a bitter smell. Actually I couldn't drink even half Cup. The place is so Sleepy and doesn't inspire anyone.

Its an one place for various entertainment, food and shopping You can get authentic south Indian food.. Dont miss their coffee... U can get various gifts.. Souvenirs, antique collections... You can have huge collections of antique goods, metal statues, thanjavur spl dancing dolls, thanjavur plates, thanjavur paintings, raja ravi varma paintings, dolls of woods, metals, products made of cane, bamboo, palm, leaves, baskets of diff colour, gifts made of palm trees products, seperate sections for womens ornaments and accessories... They best is near to the temple... Parking is available.... Its a wonderful place....

Tried lunch at this place with family i'm well satisfied with the food (traditional thali meals ) it was an excellent lunch to say for my experience around the thanjavoor city .prices are ok for the service they provide. Since its lunch time it was bit crowed. Washroom area is very small to the size of restaurant.

Strategically located right opposite the Main entrance of Brihadeeshwara Temple Tanjore, next to the main Parking lot. Pure vegetarian. They also have a souvenir shop with brass sculptures, Bomkai dolls, handicraft goods, etc for sale. When u eat at the restaurant, they give you a credit bill to encash at the Souvenir shop. We landed for breakfast there. The usual spread of South Indian items. We ordered masala dosa (with 2 types of chutney), sambhars, onion uttapam, sada dosa, medu vada. We saw people having Thaali at Breakfast. Rs.100 & big spread. When we were eating, a huge bus full of group arrived. Very busy place, fast service.

This hotel is located opposite to The Big Temple. The ambiance was very nice.There is a Buffet for hundred rupees but with only a few items. The place is always crowded so you have to wait to get the food. The food taste was average. The buffet is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We haven't tried any other dishes than the buffet. The 100 rupees buffet is self service only. I won't recommend this buffet. It will be crowded and most of the time and few varieties won't be available. The car parking area is very small but nice. There are small shops surrounding the hotel. The shops have handmade things like statue of the Big temple, Thanjavur thalayati bommai etc.

As per other reviews lacks service. In a fast moving location the servers should be able to manage multiple orders without errors. We have seen server quietly over selling by bringing items that wasn't ordered. Lack of service overshadows everything. Food is average to get you going. Server demanded service charge which we have to reduce and point out him bringing unasked items. The campus has some local souvenir for purchase. Hit the thumbs-up button if my review helped . I ordered 2 idly and 1 vada, They taken time 40 mins for delivery. Worst service in my life. Servers response is toooooooo worst.

Food quality is very poor when compare to Trichy road Sri Krishna Bhavan branch (opp to Agarwal eye hospital). Really food is good at that branch. Today we wasted our money in this branch but we spent some time in antique shops and car parking is nice.
