Absolutely stunning temple. Has some 500+steps to climb. Trek is easy to moderate. There are like 100s of monkeys so keep you valuables/food items inside a bag to avoid any altercation with a monkey
A small, beautiful Shiva Temple on top of Karinje Hills. You need to climb about 600 steps to reach the top. As you go up, steps become steeper but once you reach, you will forget all the tiredness and you could enjoy the beauty of nature, greenery and serene atmosphere. The temple is open from 9 am to 5 pm. You will be surprised to see a water pond on the rocks and the temple priest carries it everyday on top for pooja. There also Parvathi Temple, halfway down, clean and neat. There are lot of monkeys on the way, some with family, some aggressive always looking for something to eat.

Oohhoho! I loved this place. It's a task to climb the hill. The angle of stairs is low in first half, but it steeply increases in 2nd half. But the view at the top is worth climbing the hill. When we started descending, it started raining also. Got covered by fog. It was a nice experience.
Very beautiful temple and atmosphere. Try to visit early in the morning or late evening to avoid sunstroke. Good place for nature lovers. An ancient temple is situated top of the rock.
