Patteeswaram temple is a temple for shiva in linga roopa named Dhenu pureswarar and shakthi as gnanambiga are sitting side by side . A Durga temple on right side of entry gate . Many shops and flower sellers are are available on the entry gate. It is noticed that Idiol of ghanasambanther is placed on right side of Outer mandapam . This temple is hardly 3 _4 km distant from Airawatheswara temple.

Thenupuriswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva located in the holy village of Patteeswaram. Lord Shiva is worshiped as Thenupuriswarar and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Nyanambikai. The place is a bit far from Kumbhakonam. You can do it slong with Dharasuram as they are close by.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, as soon as you enter the temple premises you would see huge Gopurams. Also there is a durgambigai Sannidhi which is also famous in this temple premises. You would also a temple pond inside the temple complex. Must visit temple when your in Kumbakonam town.

Very well and cleanly maintained. Good amount of parking place. Must visit temple.

Even though it's lord Shiva temple special over there is durgai Amman. Durgai Amman is located before the entrance right side inside the mandapam and the Amman looks so divine and gargeous in standing statue.inside of the temple lord shiva linga is inviting and blessing us and giving a divine feel. This is an ancient temple of lord shiva so must visit place but as we went in the Corona time there is some restrictions.places are available to park a car and there is no parking charges.google map shows the correct location to reach over there. Temple is located in patteswaram. We can't expect more cleanliness in ancient temples but this is maintained cleanly .

Nicely maintained. The temple administration is very fair and helping. This has not changed over 2decades as I know. Has car parking for almost 30-40cars. Which is right side of the temple. Divine Durga Godness is most powerful since the times of Chola. Temple famous for child birth, couple happiness and any health wish.
