It was a pleasant and comfortable stay. The walls of the room need to be maintained. My stay was with complimentary breakfast but the restaurant charged an extra eighty rupees as we ordered two plain dosas though dosa was included in the mini tiffin plate. Moreover, we didn't take many other items from the mini tiffin. So I have given 4 stars. Apart from this location and tariff wise, it is suitable for families..
Worst experience. Comparing to the price we are paying the service they are providing is not value for money . When I entered the room , room key holder was broken, bathroom taps were partially broken and bathroom was not clean at all. Hotel only provide Towels. No bathing kit or brush is not provided by the hotel. Room has TV but it was not working . AC remote was not in the room and even blankets were not in the room . The only positive thing is the Vegetarian restaurant with the hotel . Good vegetarian food is supplied. Neet and clean tasty food. I'm happy with the restaurant. If you are planning to stay for more than one day in the hotel. I will not recommend that. For a one day stay it's an ok fecility.
Last updated: 28-Dec-2019 [P][200 m] Rooms are clean and staff are decent, responsive and helpful. The A/c worked fine and unlike many other hotels, the geyser and phone too. There's a restaurant in the Ground Floor and the food served is pretty good and reasonably priced. Although parking space is mentioned, it is small (a max of 2 cars will fit in at a time). I had to park my car elsewhere as the parking space was full up whenever I needed it. The hotel is located just opposite the District Police Office (DPO) and you can see police men/women doing parades and exercises inside it in the mornings. Marketing staff usually overstate facilities and appearance to attract the public but in the case of Sri Ganesha Palace and Bhavan it is to an extreme and misleading. For example, the photo of this place shown in Google Maps puts the hotel in the expensive, large-compound category which is TOTALLY misleading. It is a no-frills, functional hotel which serves its purpose well but not posh. Then, as above, parking space is inadequate. In some hotel booking sites this hotel is advertised as "low-risk" for booking and cancellation (zero down payment and zero cancellation charges). Date flexibility also is an option available, but after booking, I found direct change of date of booking thru app didn't work. Once you arrive in the hotel, you are asked to pay the room rent in full before being checked-in. Finally, card payment is not available, so you have to be ready with cash. These factors must be kept in mind before deciding on this hotel.
It was a nice experience to stay in Hotel Sri Ganesh Palace. I stayed total 3 nights there and everyday they clean the room nicely and the service is good. Staff is very cooperative. We have dining also with them which makes more convenient to stay there. Overal it is a homely feeling staying there.
This place is ideal for emergency stays and short stays. This is a fully vegetarian hotel. The level of cleanliness in cooking is okay. This hotel is situated opposite to Joint Commissioner office. Many trainee cops use this hotel instead of the mess in their quarters and that is only crowd I mostly notice in there. The food quality is above average standard.
nice place to stay near Chennai trade centre if u r single as the rooms are small...budget class hotel.. restaurant at ground floor serves tasty south Indian as well as north Indian dishes..
The overall stay was good. The staff services and cleanliness of the property were up to the mark. The room is very comfortable. Satisfactory stay.
