Om Namah Shivaya Beautiful and serene Lord Shiva temple under 150km from Hyderabad. Nestled on top of small hills, and surrounded by a water body (it is believed to be a combination of 7 water bodies or gundams), it feels divine to be in there. There's a pathway in the water leading to the temple. Lord Ram himself apparently instated the Shiva Lingam at this place and hence the name 'Rameswar'. The pranamatam here uniquely is facing the temple entrance and not sideways. There's a place next to the temple where night stay is apparently possible. Another temple is being constructed around 150 yards from the Rameswar temple. It is also believed locally that people who take a dip in the water body will be relieved of any chronic diseases. Temple is close to the village of Mailwar where there are a couple of large lakes and hills to trek/hike.
Very Pleasant to visit,cool whether, trees around the temple. Temple is located in between water. Function hall availability. Proper drinking water facilities .
Excellent place for peaceful meditation. There is a motorable road from Tandur. Tandur is in Vikarabad district of Telangana. The temple here is called Ramalingeswar Swami Temple. The temple is in a serenic valley surrounded three sides by hills. The temple is in the middle of the gundam (sacred well). Water is stored and flows through out the year. The diety is Shiva's linga roopam. Poojari who stays near temple available through out the day. It is peaceful, scenic and quite place for meditation and resting in natural environment completely opposite to commercialised other religious places. Wish I visit again and again.
Loved it too much. The most important thing is we have to enter the temple through the water way and there is no another way to enter the temple. And be careful while entering the temple Notice: And another thing is that you won't get mineral or purified water you have to carry drinking water to that place
