Sri Devi Restaurant - Vegetarian restaurant in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

If you're concerned about hygiene then please do not choose this restaurant. I with my family went there to have dinner and found an ANT in my food. I've attached the picture so that no one suspects me that I'm lying. Then I ordered another curd-rice which had a horrific taste and also had to eat extremely carefully. I don't prefer this hotel and will not recommend this to you also. I've found an ant in the rice which gives an evidence about the cleanliness maintained in their kitchen. I usually don't rate any place or restaurant so bad but here the topic is of health which cannot be compromised. PLEASE DON'T RISK YOUR HEALTH BY COMING AND HAVING MEALS IN THIS RESTAURANT.

it's a vegetarian eatery located very close to Sri Mangaldevi Temple. it's an OG place in this area. the food here is good for breakfast and snacks time as most of their items are of that kind. they offer variety of tiffin items and the hotel is usually occupied. the items are slightly pricier than usual. the atmosphere is very average but staff is really good. the items are pretty tasty and stomach filling. on an average it could cost 60-70 rs per person.

You get traditional Mangalorean snacks here. Reasonable price and good service.

I have given 4 stars because this is the only place I found in Mangalore where onion slices are provided without asking. Seems funny right..! Yeah it is the normal thing in Andhra. And I tried several restaurants where spiciness is less as mangaloreans prefer less spicy foods. We found unexpectedly and it gave me feeling that I was in Andhra. Ambience wise, we cannot expect more but taste wise you can try once.

One of good typical manglorean veg hotel. Could work a little more to clean and hygienic. Other than this a very good vegetarian restaurant next to mangaladevi temple, usually crowded on Friday. Almost all variety of veg dishes are available.

This restaurant is located very near to Mangaladevi temple. Being very close to temple this restaurant should have done good business. Unfortunately, it is located in a very narrow area which makes it hardly visible. Also, there are no parking spaces available for big vehicles which makes it harder for tourists to come by. The food here is kind of hit and miss. Some times they make good tasty items like special dosa, bhajji etc. Other days these items aren't available at all. There is no consistency in their approach. There are now three other restaurants which are located in close proximity of this, which I find funny and amusing because the question which comes to my mind is, where are these restaurant owners getting their customers from? Visit this restaurant if you're really in a hurry or so hungry to eat with no other options.

Restaurant is neat and clean. Taste of the Food is 7 out of 10. Could be better but not bad. Most importantly it's not very costly also.
