One of the important places of pilgrimage for Sikhs and for all Indians as well. It is an architectural delight. The shrine for praying is located in the middle of the sacred pool with a passage to walk over. Once inside the premises which doens't take much time to enter, the visit to inner sanctum may take long time. You need to leave your shoes outside and you can keep it for free with a token number and which can be taken on way back. Follow the rules of covering your head with a piece of cloth, dress decently and you may take advice of a local or the sewadars or religious men dressed in blue when in doubt. Enjoy the collective spiritual tradition of India.
It's a holy and peaceful place. The sarovar(holy tank) here is the largest in the world. The darbar has intricate work on the walls and ceiling. Its very beautiful and must visit place if you are nearby or in the town.
