Sri Bugga Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple - Hindu temple in Vikarabad - Vikarabad, India

Very nice temple with historical significance. This place is very near to Anantha Giri. The temple was visited on Shivaratri. It was fairly crowded, but not too much. Other days the place should be very peaceful and close to nature. There is ample parking space. But no food shop or amenities like washroom in the temple compound.

Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Lingam Form and Shivalingam installed & consecreted by Lord Rama and has a history of > 500 years. Lord Rama installed Shivalingam here, and for Abhishekam & Pooja, he shot arrow into the ground and water sprang out. This water is used to worship Shivalingam. The continously flow of water by Rock carved Nandi throughout the year is called "Shivaganga Pushkarini" & the water is considered to have most beneficial and potential medicinal benefits . Devotees bath from Pushkarini and visit Deity for worship. As the Temple was consecrated by Lord Rama and Shiva in Lingam Form, the Temple is called "SRI BUGGA RAMALINGESWARA TEMPLE". Nearby Surya Devalayam is also present here.

Unexplored and awestruck Lord Shiva temple. History as per temple authority says the place is visited by lord Rama and under water stream is flowing beneath Lingam of Shiva and believed to be to starting origin of musi. Pond water is flowing from Nandi mouth which is to be self experienced. When vist Anatha giri hills this temple is must visit.

Great to see here, origin of musi river that is muchukunda River which flows through Hyderabad city. Please save the river.

Its a wonderful drive from Vikarabad. If you are anywhere near Vikarabad, you should definitely try visiting this temple.

Calm and peaceful place for short visit. We reached there in evening few minutes before sunset, it was mesmerizing serinity. Less crowd. The much talked about pond is not at all worth, it was quite small in size about approximately 10*10 feet and many local kids were playing there.
