It felt some difficulty to reach the temple as the conditions of the road were poor. But the temple atmosphere and the management was quite good. Every Sunday there is Annadanam facility and the locals believe that if anyone offers twelve pradakshina for twelve Sundays then their wishes come true. The premises of the temple were peaceful. Sri Bhavannarayana swamy is a Swayambhu and a must visit for all the devotees. There's a beautiful lake and a small park opposite the temple to spend some time.
The temple is dedicated to lord narsimha swamy.I visited this temple at 6 pm and it was closed, I have to pay 20 rs ,2 people sitting outside the temple gate charged this on the name of aanadan. One small underground temple was open. It was bhaiya dooj so very few people were there.
This temple was old but never heard of it. There's a story behind it. Wonderful and beautiful place. Directions: After reaching Samarlakota Jn, take a bus or auto to Madhavapatnam (20rs-20mins journey) then again take an auto to Sarpavaram (20rs-5mins) and walk to the temple Or you guys can reach from Kakinada Jn also. By the way visit Shri Dakshinamurthye temple near by.
Om namo narayanaya.. God vishnu is worshipped here in the name of Bhavanarayana swamy. The temple was built long ago and is still standing high. Take some time and do visit.
Visited temple on 29th december 2022. Surprisingly I came to know from two white caller beggars that we need to pay fine of Rs30 per head to visit,/ darshan baavanarayana swamy in the temple. Temple not even 10 devotees inside. This is old temple before British and mulism ruling. But never read about this fine. I know thousands of acres for maintenance of this temple opposite to Trust hospital but why this fine for Hindu and Hindu temple from last 2 years??????? Earlier they used to collect 116 rupees for 24 ekadashi pooja and used to give Laddu and Calander, but no force. Annadaanam fund collection heavily there but never seen free pulihora prasadam. Finally they closed the temple for not taking tickets. Photo attached. Om namo bagavathe vaasu devasya. I pity myself for Hindu in Andhra Pradesh to look these sins.
