Sri Balaji Grand - Hotel in Kumbakonam - Thanjavur, India

Excellent place to stay. Extremely well mannered housekeeping staff and front desk staff. The hotel Andha Bhavan on the ground floor is a feather in the cap of Balaji grand. The only grouch we had is this hotel with a huge tarrif not providing complimentary breakfast. I suggest the management mulls over having one soon. Also the complimentary bisleri bottle given could be two 1 litres per room instead of two half litres per room.

Simply the best or one of the best hotels I have stayed in kumbakonam. The rooms are very spacious, bathrooms are very clean. Excellent staff and friendly. Biggest advantage is that they have a restaurant attached and the food quality and services are top class. I would only choose this hotel whenever I come to kumbakonam!!

First of all location of this hotel. It is located close to many important temples. Excellent location. It is brand new hotel with spacious and well maintained rooms. There is a lift / elevator and we can reach any floor easily. Front office / reception staff were courteous and helpful nature. They provide valuable information about Kumbakonam and surroundings. Hot and cold water available all the time. Hotel provide soap, shampoo and paste. Parking is available and they provide separate spacious dormitory accommodation for the drivers in the fifth floor. This is unique for this hotel. Restaurant is available - Ananda Bhavan - clean and neatly maintained. Tasty and hygienic food. If you are visiting temples this is ideal place to stay. Only one issue:: there is no safe available in the rooms.

One of the hotel which i stayed in the recent time especially their staffs and that too the front office Mr. Mohammed Rafiq very helpful. Clean and spacious room and its washrooms... Hardly 2 km from bus railway station.... easy approach to the main places..In house restaurant with reasonably priced... Overall good stay and best for family accommodation.....

Usual checking in procedures. Driver dormitory available. Breakfast only after 7 a.m. Andha bavan restaurant items are good. specially the onion rava dosa was yummy. Limited car parking. Rooms are spacious. No newspaper served to the inmates.
