Nice place, you can stay there just at 300 per day, you will bunk bed, sometimes you'll feel like you are in a army bunker, but at 300 it good

The ashram is a wonderful place. It has a large conference hall and shops which are known as "Divine shops". You can buy a variety of items which come all the way from Pondicherry! My personal choice is Auroshikha agarbatti. Try it...its wonderful! There's a duplex inside the ashram and they call it "Meera Cottage". Its a guest house. So you can book your stay there and enjoy. They also have dormitories and a clean canteen too. Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture is much more than what I've described. Intellectual or not, you are sure to love the place. So the next time when you are in Meghalaya, go to Bivar Road, Shillong and do visit the place. I bet that you'll get a lot of things to ransack the Internet for!! ~ some blog P.s. I just wish there were some Non-Veg food option that's all

We went there in search for a place to stay for the night and they had a dorm with comfortable beds and the price was just Rs 200 for a day and night. The people there were very friendly and it has a beautiful ambience too.

It's great institution in Shillong, thriving for upkeeping of human values and great heritage of hindu principles.

Place is moderate and affordable. Dormetory rooms are available. Not that clean. But it's ok.

Nice place. There is yoga, music and play school for kids and there is parking lots if you're looking for a place to stay with your vehicles.
