Good place with positive vibes
Ashta Bhuja Devi temple in Anandbagh is very famous for the Dasara celebrations and Gopooja. The priests are very pious, with good vedic knowledge and on the conducting of various ceremonies. The temple is very well maintained have good painted walls and the clean surroundings. In the temple compound many girl children live and study run by an NGO. It also have a small function hall which can accommodate 100 to 150 people.
Though the temple is good, spacious and peaceful, the priests and workers (who sell coconuts and especially religious books) are very rude and arrogant. It used to be pretty good arnd 8-10 years ago, but off late it doesnt seem to hold up its value like before. There seems to be a decline in the number of people visiting to worship the God as well. The management should take care of these aspects., Especially the priests(purohits) should not show arrogance. In my last 3 visits (over a span of 1 month), when we went to the purohit asking to do 'archana' with the ticket, he just said - "Sit down there (showing a corner), I have just finished one. Will do when more people gather" This is not in the likes of our interest. Being a purohit, it should be his job to perform archana when people go to worship God(viz. Balaji temple in A.bagh Xroads, Ganesh temple in Vani nagar)- They never seem to behave rudely with common people. Hope mgmt takes care of this in near future and retain the pride of this temple as before. Also plz change the persons who r selling books. They are very arrogant and rude to elderly people as well.
