Very ancient temple, Neat and Well maintained by temple authorities. Sri adikesava Perumal temple located in sriperumpudur near to Sriperumpudur bus stand. Ancient temple dated back during Sri ramanujar days. Temple structure and architecture is amazing and pretty big/spacious with high walls. Temple architecture is mixed up of tamil heritage(Dravidian architecture) plus other kingdom styles. We can see separate place to worship ramanujar in this temple. Followed by Perumal and alamelumanga. Went to this temple during brahmotsavam days..its amazing to see this temple in lights and other poojas. Temple is open from 6:30AM - 12PM and 4PM - 8PM. Various festivals are celebrated in the temple, with the Chitirai Brahmotsavam, Masi Pooram festival during February - March.

Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Sri Adi Kesava Perumal and his consort Lakshmi as Mayuravalli Thayar. The temple is believed to be the birthplace of Peyalvar, one of the first three of the twelve Alvar saints of the 6th-9th century CE.

Sree Mayuravalli Thayar and sree Adhikesava Perumal are the main god. Sree Andal Thayar also have a special mandabam. This temple is very famous in Mylapore...Very Powerfull God & goddesses..The temple is believed to be the birthplace of Peyazhwar, one of the first three of the twelve azhwar saints of the 6th-9th century CE.On Fridays Vilva elai archanai will be done to Sri Mayuravalli Thayar..People can participate and give Villva leaves and pray to the god...They will give a cup milk which is very good for this prayer. People can get blessed and seek marriage, wealth, success , prosperity from Thayar...Om Namo Narayana..

A beautiful temple in the heart of Mylapore. Retains tradition and heritage and even has a cow shed inside. Quite most of the times.

Another ancient beautiful tempke under unnecessary and unwanted renovation. We had visited the temple a couple of months back. Did not see a need for such major renovations. Looks more like redevelopment.

Serene and peaceful and you can feel the divine atmosphere. Perumal and Thayar are so beautifully decorated. Temple is neatly maintained.
