Neatly maintained pond, but the toad side has wasted dumbed by nearby house owners. Nice space for peace of mind.

Favorite place in my Town. One of the oldest temple in South Kerala

Varaha Moorthy Temple has one of the biggest temple ponds in Kerala - around 8 acres. The pond is known as Varaha Theertham and is believed to be the second largest temple pond in Kerala. A mandapam is located in the middle of the pond.

The Pond and surroundings are still fairly well kept and the area thankfully is still intact and not much of encroachments unlike the padmanabhaswami temple pond. A early morning visit would be good to have the prayers and feel the calmness around

Pond is neat n clean

Nice view from every side. but no security measures taken as the steps are slippery and so many people lost their lives because of this.

The pond is in front of famous Lakshmi Varaham temple. The diety is a combination of Lakshmi and varahamam. The ambience of temple is great and you can sit a few minutes in front of big pond.

Perfect for an evening visit. The ambience and the temple atmosphere is so calming and pleasant such that you will forgot all your worries.
