Visited the famous restaurant and had their authentic Ramassery Idly for breakfast--taste was exceptional. The accompanying podi and chutneys enhanced the experience. Highly recommend trying their Tea and Vada snacks, equally delightful. Super-friendly owners and staff, with ample roadside parking. Despite the remote location, it's definitely worth the visit in my experience.
If you want to experience authentic Ramaserri idli, you should visit this small restaurant located in the outskirts of Palakkad, approximately 7-8 kilometers from the city center. This hidden gem is at Ramaserri, and though initially, we thought we were lost, we eventually stumbled upon this charming eatery. We arrived in the evening, so it wasn't crowded. We eagerly tried their famous idli, which was served with sambar, coconut chutney, chili chutney, and dosa powder that you mix with oil. Unlike traditional idli, these were flat in size but a delightful treat. A set of four idlis costs only 48 rupees, making it incredibly affordable considering the generous portion size. The restaurant itself is a converted house with around four tables neatly arranged. The ambiance is simple, reminiscent of old village-style eateries commonly found in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Despite its rustic charm, the place is well-maintained and clean. The service was prompt, and while there were no visible washrooms, the wash area was clean and functional. Please note that only street parking is available, and finding the restaurant can be a bit challenging, so it's advisable to ask locals for directions. In conclusion, if you're in the area, I highly recommend giving a visit for a truly authentic and budget-friendly dining experience.
I was literally mind blown to see such a great restaurant located into a remote side of palakkad town. The roads leading to the place give a misconception that we are lost inside the village. But finally when you arrive at this beauty we are treated by the most humble yet famous workers in the hotel. We had gone in search of the ramassery idli which was famous here and this place just lived up to all the hype that was earlier shared by my friends. A real souvenir for our taste buds.
This is a small restaurant in a remote location which serves classic Ramassery idli. The small village roads leading to the place gave us a feeling that we are lost but the Google map lead us to the exact location. We had a set of Ramassery Idli (4 pieces) with vada served with sambar, chutney, stew and podi with coconut oil. The food was great and the service too. QR code payment option is available but looks like there are connectivity issues for some of the networks. Overall a great experience!!
First time having ramassery idli. It was good but don't feel anything special, maybe bcoz the idli was not hot when I had. Ambiance and servicing is just ok . Not upto the hype.
