Good ambience of a traditional temple in the Malabar area with 8 ponds. Silent environment. Devi is deity. Two open palms is the idol for worship. Historical importance/Beleif: Due to the wish of public devi (deity) raised from the water body , as a result of excitement the public went fussy, then the devi stopped raining further. Importance: It is believed that Indira Gandhi saw the idol and made it as a symbol in the Congress party.

Serene temple is small but very well kept. Very unique temple as it has Hands in blessing posture representing the Devi which came out of the water. The syambho stones are in front of those hands. Go on a quiet evening to experience the beauty of the place.
A temple with special environment. Great to see statue of lord in a hand like appearance! The temple is surrounded by ponds among one where hands of devi said to be appeared.These hands were said to be turned into statue as per the temple legend. There are two Shiva temples nearby, one in a kind of saumya Shiva nature(pleasent Shiva) and rudra Shiva (angry form,yet loving form of lord Shiva). I went to Navaratri festival and it is quite a memorable experience. Loved the atmosphere and the legend.
