This temple has the diety Sri Balarama, who is the brother of lord Krishna. There are only two temples of Balarama in kerala. This temple is correctly taken care of by Guruvayur Devaswom. Great place with fresh and peaceful atmosphere. The temple has got a large pond with plenty of water. Good place for people who wants to stretch their limbs through swimming. With a huge banyan tree in front of the temple, ample fresh air is available. Parking space is also available. The temple has been renovated now. An Auditorium is also near the temple, owned by Guruvayur Devaswom. This place is exactly 1.6kms from Guruvayur private bus stand.
