SR Residency - Hotel in Thavalakuppam - Pondicherry, India

There is a serious water problem. The air conditioner takes a while to begin cooling. Furthermore, essential items like towels, soap, shampoo, and trash bins were not included. The parking area is also not well-maintained. In summary, it was not a satisfactory experience, especially considering the high price charged for a one-night stay.

Good rooms and value for money, staff bahaviour very nice .

Ok place, with water problem. Not sufficient water in the morning and evening, Hardly had bath. Has parking facility, good for drinking as top floor is bar.

We booked two rooms here through Agoda for a discounted price, including an extra bed. When we reached the hotel for our stay, the reception staff looked at our booking and demanded 1000 rupees more saying they didn't get confirmation from Agoda for the extra bed. He created an emergency situation saying there are other people waiting for the rooms and that if you don't pay this 1000 rupees, he will give the room to others. We told him to wait until we contact Agoda support, but he was not ready to wait. Then we paid extra 1000 rupees to him and then we got the keys. Later, we contacted Agoda support and they confirmed that the info for giving us an extra bed to us was already shared with the hotel along with booking details. We got to know that the Reception guy wanted to loot money from us and hence he told us like that. We have asked Agoda to repay the amount and they said the hotel will transfer it online, but not received it even after 2 weeks. Did a follow-up and still the hotel didn't repay the extra amount. So guys, beware of this place and the Reception guy, he will be looking for chances to loot money from you. The facilities over there and the staff response were average, we had a pipe leakage issue in one of the bathrooms. When reported and they didn't respond to that, I had to fix the pipe by myself by pushing it back to the joint.

This is an amazing paying guest option for families to stay. We booked this place twice and both the times we were really satisfied. The owner Mr. Murali is a really approachable person and the reception also was very helpful. They provide all the essential amenities and additional equipments like induction stove, kettle etc. If you are looking for a good service apartment in the cuddalore-pondy road with amenities at affordable prices this is the one to choose! Weekends are generally fully booked a week in advance. So plan your stay accordingly.

Worst reception person I have ever seen. AC not working and TV not working. Then what's the point of booking AC room. It's a message to the owner please provide the facilities as promised to the customers. Not recommending at all .....

It was the time of Dussehra and a mad rush was there . No hotels were available and we had gone for a weekend trip with parents. We made a last minute booking but the booking had some issue in MMT and on reaching we found out that there are no rooms available. The hotel staff were really courteous and somehow managed a room even though the booking website was of no help. They even offered the suite room the next day for the inconvenience. One of the most genuine budget stays in pondicherry with good food and good proximity to Paradise beach. Kudos to the team.

Stayed here for two nights. First the good things, extremely courteous staff. Car parking available (even for big cars). Hot water available (Geyser provided). Cheap and good food.TV with a lot of channels. Small room, decent bathroom but faulty taps and no mirror even. Faulty fan too. Room service available. The earliest tea that you would get is about 8 am! Locality close to chunnambar Lake and pondy Marina beach.
