SPOT ON 67904 Narayana Residency - Hotel in Alangudi - Thiruvarur, India

One of the worst places to stay. The only good thing about this place is that it's just a few metres from Guru temple. Never ever stay in this place.

I found this when I searched for alternatives for the second day of my trip after the first booking at one property in Kumbakonam that was terrible. This is located just outside of the Alangudi Guru sthalam temple. Very convenient if you are visiting this temple primarily. The check in was easy and the room was clean enough. The staff brought TV, TV remote, AC remote after we checked in. We enjoyed hot water after tiring day. The Staff was friendly and offered assistance without asked for. Only downside is I had to travel back and forth from Kumbakonam as my primary sightseeing was all around kumbakonam and the 20 mile drive from kumbakonam doesn't have great road. I had to travel through the small villages and narrow bumpy roads. Overall I liked the stay and is a great friendly place if you visit Gurusthalam or dont mind the treavel from Kumbakonam.

Courteous & coopertive reception staff. Helpful in arranging for logistics. food is not being provided and there are no proper eateries in that locality except for some local tea shops. Rooms are clean and maintained well. Alangudi Guru Sthalam is at stone's throw from the lodge.

As it's located very near to the temple so location wise it's very conveniently located for us. The accommodation that was provided to us was very comfortable as well. The only drawback was there services as there were lack of staffs over here, only a manager is here who is doing everything whichever is needed, apart from this everything else was good.

Decent hotel at Alangudi. Very close to temple. Rooms are neat and clean. Good for a day stay. No restaurant available in the hotel. Being a small village only dhaba type places available

It was very far from the main road and not easily reachable. The caretaker was not so helpful. No food services were available there nearby. Rooms were ok but not clean. Overall the stay was fine.

Good residency and excellent car parking....cost too high 1000rs for one day stay is too high for that village side...room surrounding are ok....but heater not working condition....and water flow is also too slow..not worth for 1000rs

I didn't expect, i can get rooms at this village but we've got rooms at Narayana Residency i.e here! :)., everything here are moderate at lower cost and having Tv, Ac, Heater especially having good water supplies...finally huge parking lot inside it!!!
