SPOT ON 66618 Sillery Gaon Retreat 2 - Hotel in Sillery Gaon - Kalimpong, India

Good Place for 3-4 days trip. One should go there once if time permits after Darjeeling visit. Sometime Kanchanjungha is visible directly from ur bedroom. Hospitality and behavior of the staff is very polite and respectful. One can go on a solo trip here. It feels nice to cherish the silence of nature.

Only for food, nither behavior nor their service is good. They provide only half buckets water for bathing of 3 people. Room service given to that one who directly book them. Too much pertiality. We also stay at Zuluk of the same owner homestay that was too disgusting. Same type. They give you previous day's meal.

Sillerygaon is an beautiful hamlet nestled among the pristine green. The property is a majestic one offering panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. Though rooms are not luxurious enough, comparing to the accommodations in other properties, this particular homestay offers comfortable stay. Hospitality of the staff is very courteous and above all, the arrangement of Mr. Aviijit Sen, the owner, is excellent in all spheres.

We stay here at the time of Mid-June. This place was one of our nice selection during the Silk-Route tour. Owner of the Homestay named Biru Tamang, was a very decent man. His gesture was really amazing. The view from balcony in the cloudy morning was a remembering one.

It is quite unfortunate that our experience of our sojourn at this home stay was not that nice.. though mr avijit sens behaviour was warm, the house owners behaved quite rudely...he was very arrogant,so were the other ladies of the household!! Housekeeping was very poor, and they didn't even supply us with candles!! Moreover the house owner would cut off the power intentionally...we had stayed in home stays before , we know fully well that one can't expect facilities like a decent hotel...what we expect is good behaviour, and cordial attitude...this time we were utterly shocked by the rudeness of the housemates...I would recommend that there are several homestays at sillery gaon.please avoid this particular one.

Sillery gaon; a nice hamlet on the valley. U can spend a one day here with homestay accommodation. Fooding, lodging and hospitality was great. U can do a little jungle trail to reach the viewpoint called Ramitey viewpoint. From there u can enjoy the 360 deg. View of entire valley. Overall Sillery Gaon.... Experience was so nice also u can enjoy a mesmerizing view of mighty Kanchenjunga...
