Spice Garden Resort - Resort hotel in Vellikulam - Kottayam, India

Location is superb. The resort is just located side of the road and valley side. The reception is at ground level and rooms are below at G-1, G-2. The rooms were nice. There is nice place to sit and enjoy the views. There is no other staying place on the both the direction of road for few kilometers. Behind the resort maybe around 500 m deep in the jungle one small waterfall is there where one can enjoy the bath. They have so many jackfruit trees literally just outside of your room. They have one more facility just few 100m above the hill. They will take you in 4*4 jeep and the slope is very steep. One can walk also there where one can enjoy the sunrise in the morning. The location & ambience is superb!!! Food is also very nice. The owner Sibi is helpful & informative. Hospitality is good. Jeep trucking & jungle trekking out of the world experience!!! Only negative-minor maintenance problems-Sibi is receptive & promised to correct them. No A/C in rooms but it is not required. The owner promised to provide it in due course. Overall we had a very good experience & I would recommend this budget but good resort.

Had breakfast here at its restaurant on the highway. And we loved the place! The place had great view of the valley, had ample parking space. great service; pretty neat & clean place. The menu had good variety too. And they served us piping hot breakfast on a cold morning.

The services didn't match what was promised on their site. Would have rated it higher had they provided basic amenities like TV etc. The view from the place is quite spectacular. The staff are courteous. Special mention about the cook: he will prepare the food as per your wishes and does his job pretty well.

It's a different experience to stay in a private mountain. Mr. Sibi was very kind enough during our stay. It would be fun if you go along with friends or family of more than 10 members. The jeep ride to that mountain was very trilling experience.

This place on Erattupetta-Vagamon road, right before Vagamon view point. Great location and decent parking space make this a good choice as restaurant enroute Vagamon. The food was good. Nothing extraordinary but still great value for money. The restaurant is neat and simple. Interiors are simple but well suited for such a place. Overall, a neat and simple place with great value for money.
