Nice explanation of the spices plant. The entry fees was 100 which is bit high because just a 10minutes walk is there through the garden. It had a river back to the garden which is very good to play in the river. Entry feed shuld be fixed to 50rs then the place will be value for money
Excellent collection of spices and medical plant.
One, appreciate efforts taken by owners to give 1st hand glimpse about spice plants and also rare plants. First time I was seeing a Cardamom plant. Vanilla plant & Insulin plant was another first time for me. You will enjoy the river flowing in between the garden. Different kinds of flower plants. You can purchase them. Being well versed in Malayalam... slightly challenging to understand for other natives. However they make efforts to make us have understand. You can also purchase spices, different kinds of oils, rudrakshas, very few Kerala sarees are there. Saw a few designer magenets showcasing Kerala culture. Little premium... however quality as homegrown. Tickets are Rs 100. You can pay by cash or by upi
Good place offering detailed plantation tour. The price is only 100 bucks per person. The guide explains all herbs they have in the garden. It is fun to taste leafs and smell all kinds of herbs. Only thing you should be aware of is the guide is not very fluent in english. You need to put in some effort to understand what is she saying.
Located 30Kms from Munnar town, on the highway to Theni, at Poppara, this spice garden is one of several that lines the area. If you are someone who loves exploring the untravelled path, pay a bisit here.... they have a conducted tour which lasts about 30 minutes, where the staff explains the various spices an their benefits whilst taking you on a tour in their garden. There is also a small retail outlet where you could shop for ayurvedic medicines, powdrs and concoctions for various ailments. Thirdly, there is a river at their backyard where one could spend sometime wading through the current and have a fun time. The society is a joint effort by about 23 families, who have pooled in their land to develop organic farming. Their total land area is about 28 acres, most of which is behind the river. The fee for the plantation tour is Rs. 100 per head. Worth the visit for sure.... The staff can talk Malayalm, Tamil and English.
I was thrilled to see beautiful big Rudraksha tree amidst a stream flowing with chill water from Aanaierankgal dam. Entrance Ticket of RS. 100/- per person is too high. The experience somehow compensated the cost. Just loved the amibence of this place. A devine spot to do Meditation under the shades of Rudraksha tree
They take you for 30 mins garden tour which is walkable in and around their store. They will show you atleast 50+ varieties of plants which you might have come across or might be using in your day today life in the form of powder or liquid. If you are into organic items, this place is a watchable spot for you. They also sell all types of spices which comes directly from their spice garden.
