Rooms are spacious and has all the amenities in the room like five start hotel. Bed: spring but good quality. You will good sleep. Clean and neat rooms. What you will not get: good food, gym, swimming pool.

1- Family Visitor. 2- With Kids 3- Leisure visit. This is our regular 1 night stop on wards and return for Bangalore to Goa trips. Have stayed here 6 times with Family once with friends. This is a very clean hotel, with big rooms, good service, good size bed, good interiors and no issue hotel every time. The restaurant is good, not expensive, Very good spread of Breakfast - My kids and we love the number of options. Best part is the accessibility from the highway and huge parking space. Staff is very courteous- Imran has helped us every time during booking and any requirement during stay. Will highly recommend this hotel

Rooms were fine with water leakages on a few walls. Ran out of water in the bathroom for an hour in the morning. Needs more proactive upkeep.

We chose to stop at Southern Star in Davangere during our journey from Honnavar, primarily because we were traveling with a 2-year-old baby. This decision was based on my prior research while driving from Honnavar. Our stay at Southern Star turned out to be pleasant, although we noticed some ongoing painting work within the building. The room we stayed in had damp walls, which we assumed was the reason for the ongoing repairs. Nonetheless, the room was spacious and comfortable. I would like to suggest that hotels consider providing access to streaming apps on their TVs, as this seems to be a common practice in many major hotels, resorts, and homestays these days. It would be a valuable addition, as traditional TV channels are becoming less relevant to travelers. The breakfast offered at Southern Star was substantial, and the food quality was satisfactory. Additionally, the hotel's location, in close proximity to the NH, made it an ideal place for us to rest during our journey and continue our travels the following morning.

Spacious rooms. Toilet in the room could have been cleaner. Service was good. Located in a very prime location in Davanagere, next to the SS mall. And also the benne dosa hotel is not far from here. Their breakfast buffet was really good.
