SOUTH INDIAN CANTEEN - Featured Reviews (309)
Normal curry, rice with sambar and rasam along with butter milk costs below 10 Indian rupees.
It was okay for the price. The food didn't have any salt and the options are very limited. If you want to eat some good South Indian food I would not recommend this place. The quality was not good. But is is very cheap for the amount they give you.
Who wants to try South Indian food Try it inside the Prasanthi Ashram. Food was gud and hygenic place ..
Maximum once day can be consumed.. it very diffcult for seva people to eat daily since soda is been added to rice & get filled as soon. If u eat it for more than one week chances of getting ulcer & gastric issues
Cheapest Canteen in puttaparthi inside Sai Baba's mandir. One needs to buy coupon first from coupon counter situated opposite to the canteen and then have food. Males and females will have to sit separate in separate canteen as everywhere as a rule inside the mandir. One can have meal in Rs15 with Rice sambar rasa and sabzi. People can buy extra items each costing Rs 8 other than the items in main menu like curd rice, other sabzi, etc. Spoons are not available inside and one has to take his meal by hand only. However the food is very tasty and MUST try for everyone. Some not all items will be spicy. Curd rice is a must Try. The ambiance is a bit crowded but disciplined. There is usual rush during the peak hours of breakfast, lunch and dinner however if one comes a bit early can enjoy the tasty food. Like everywhere the canteens are run by seva dal people ( devotees and volunteers who come for free service to the mandir from all over India).
Ok'ish. Plates were not cleaned properly, food tasted average.
Very satisfying food quality, variety, atmosphere more or less at negligible cost.
Loved it. Almost everyone can afford it here. You just have to get Coupons from the store available infront of it. It's like you 'can not' eat anything worth over 20/-. You'll be full by 10/- itself.
Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful, the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get a wide variety of food as well for that price. A must try desert is the Tiramisu!!. I am definitely going back.
One of the best places where one finds aatmic peace and divinity is felt in this place

This hotel exceeded expectations. Approach roads are a bit narrow but excellent parking even for large cars. 5 minute walking distance to Ashram. Clean and spacious AC room; even all ceiling fans in the hotel were spic and span. Bathroom had shower g
Great place to eat if you love to eat North Indian dishes. Food prepared are very tasty and fresh. Right when you enter the canteen, you will have to wait in the queue and collect your food items and then move to the billing counter after which you c
