It is very comfortable. Food used to be very nice. Currently renovation works are going on. The cook is not present and food is brought from outside. But we hope the cook returns soon and everything will be back to normal. Edit: Now it is wonderful again home away from home...
As a Maintenance Engineer i personally know this Guest house. First the location is correctly opposite to the Stella Maris college. Only girl students are allowed to stay in this guest house. High class veg food is prepared and served in the guest house which is the best compared to other properties in this Location. When it comes to Safety this property is the safest in this Location with 24/7 CCTV surveillance and a security who is well known by the neighbouring residents and shop owners nearby. Presently this Guest House is under renovation in one wing of the building, But still the Guest House is operated in a safe manner by the management in another wing for few girls who desperately wanted to stay in this property and not to interrupt their studies. And it's admission time now and the rooms are filling fast. I hope it will look stunning after the renovation works get completed.
Hi, I am a student of Soundarya Guest house for the past 2 years and i have enrolled for my PG this year and also going to stay in the same hostel. We get tasty and quality food in our hostel. My friends always complain abt their food and hospitality, whose is living in other hostels. Staffs are very cooperative and i feel home atmosphere and safe in the hostel. Only drawback is Warden and she behaves very badly with staffs and students. I am very happy to say, luckily this year warden is changed and new warden is appointed.
Nice place to stay Very safe Very good accommodation for students Nice place for elderly people as well Traditional food is being served In house dining and laundry facilities available It is located in between American Consulate and Music Academy. It can attract elite crowd in its new wing which is under renovation with Elevator. I am sure it will look traditional and stunning with all modern amenities.
I recommand this Guest House for my friends and relatives. If you are a student then this place should be the first choice. Located opposite to Stella Maris College, frequent transit facilities are available. And it is close to American Consulate and Music Academy. It will certainly suit for Ladies who visit American Consulate and Lady Artists who performs in Music Academy. This Guest house serves traditional high class veg food in their dinning facilities.
May look neat when you step in. But a pathetic negative and abusive environment. The workers exhibit very low standards of behaviour and shouting and cursing among themselves. The owner doesnt care as long she gets money and simply pampers them to use them to make money. Cunning lady. Watchman ganesan is a drunkard and a scoundrel acting as if he is the boss of all workers. Good for nothing scoundrel. Cheats students by not giving bills and worst is he intentionally misses few listed items in medical prescriptions when students ask help in times of need. So that he can go again the next day to shop and gain comission. Watchman drinks... this is girls students hostel and owners look the other way. My advise, instead of paying 15000 each, 2 or 3 girls get a flat for rent, stay safe and away from negative environment. For 15000 rent, they wont allow you to use any elctrical appliances. They do not even provide egg, milk or cofee or hotwater on request. They do not consider special requests if you fall sick. The cook is from north india (no north indian girls stays here) and a scoundrel and behaves pathetically. UNSAFE negative environment. DO NOT JOIN. Abuse by workers is normalised here.
