Soorya Retreat - Hotel in Pudussery Central, Kanjikode - Palakkad, India

Choose this if you are ok to be sleep deprived. Uninterrupted noise of passing vehicles on the adjacent highway at night. Rooms need to at least have basic soundproofing. AC outdoor unit kept on the bathroom wall too vibrates all night. Moreover the flush too did not work in the morning. Had to go downstairs to wake up the sleeping service guy as no one attended phone. Not at all worth the 2.3k price tag. Disappointed.

A good hotel to stay near the NH at Kanjikode. The rooms are clean, tidy and well-maintained. There is also a good non vegetarian restaurant in the adjacent building.

Shower was not working, Exhaust fan not working. Booked through online for 2days. Only 1bottle water complimentary given.

Stayed here for a period of 20 days over a period of 2 months. Pros: Rooms and bathroom is Super clean. Bed is extremely comfy with fresh sheets. A/C, TV and all other electronics are perfectly working. Spacious room with a large cupboard, work table, sofa and a teapoy. (Has adequate charging points also) Fantastic view to the hills from the large windows. Food will be served to room (if needed) from Malabar hotel (ground flood), staffs are well behaved and food is great. Wifi is available some times it gets stuck. Cons: Quite noisy as the hotel is adjacent to NH. (personally didn't affect my sleep, just mentioning) Expensive: Stay is quite expensive, above 2.5k. Room service is little delayed so better order bit before hand or else just go to ground floor and can dine in (I did that). No hot water facility.
